Sometimes people come into your lives, and you feel lucky to have them. Rebecca Peters is one of those people. Not only is she a talented photographer, but I'm also happy to call her my friend. We've known about each other for years via the wedding industry, but started to chat more when we discovered our E girls (as we call them) were born just a month apart. She specializes in shooting beautiful lifestyle photography for families. When she asked me to collaborate with her by doing some floral styling...

I recently shared Eleanor's first birthday party, and all the fun projects we did to make her day special. I just love planning a good celebration, so it seemed fitting that we put together a mini party for her one year photo shoot. This would be our final shoot with Jana Marie Photography. I'm telling you guys, she's a genius, and I love all the colorful fun images she captured during this session with our sweet girl. You can see our maternity, newborn, and 4 month shoot in previous posts.

The major ins...

Our little Eleanor Pearl turned one this year. First birthdays are a big deal, and such a special milestone to celebrate. We decided to have a big party with our family and friends. I went back and forth about different themes, and thought that a pearl and jewel party would be perfect. I wanted to add in a geometric element to keep it modern with lots of bright colors, and whimsical elements. I had so much help with this party including my husband of course, my mom who made tons of cupcakes, Small Batch...

Eleanor Pearl is almost 7 months old, and such a happy, beautiful girl. These pictures however, are from her 4 month photo shoot with Jana Marie Photography. I wanted to do a fun, styled portion of the shoot with whites, golds, and bright colors. However it's also the quiet moments at home that are a real part of our everyday lives, so I'm so glad that Jana was able to capture a few sweet moments of us together after Eleanor fell asleep. She had so much fun during her photo shoot she passed right out. A...

Eleanor Pearl is already six months old, my how time flies. I'm a little bit embarrassed that I am just now getting her newborn pictures posted. We were so lucky to have them taken by the talented Jana Marler of Jana Marie Photography (I'm also happy to call her a friend).  It was so important to us that we capture little Eleanor in the first days of her life, so we can look back and remember how small she was.

We also worked so hard on her room, and you may remember my post about our decor i...

Little Eleanor Pearl will be 3 weeks old tomorrow, so I thought I should share her birth story before months have passed.  I can't believe how fast time is flying by, she's changed so much and is growing, it brings a little tear to my eye sometimes.  However I'm so excited to see what each day brings.

Our due date, January 15th, came and went.  We continued to wait anxiously for our little girl to arrive.  On Saturday, January 18th I woke up around 5:30 with some contractions.  They were diff...

January 22, 2014

As most of you probably already know our little girl finally decided to arrive January 21st, 2014.  We are so overjoyed and in love with her, and can't thank all our family and friends for their outpouring of love and help.  Thanks for showering us with food, and cleaning our house (thanks mom), and watching our girl (thanks Kathy) when I need to run to the store for a few minutes.  We're learning how to be parents, and enjoying hibernating through this chilly winter weather cozy at home with our girl....

When we were trying to decide how to do our babies gender reveal for our families, there was no shortage of ideas out there.  Cutting into a colored cake, scratch off tickets, and boxes full of blue or pink balloons.  I really liked the whole balloon idea when I first saw it, but I wanted to put our own spin on it.  I love the giant round balloons that have been so popular the past few years for weddings, and party decor so I decided to incorporate one of those.  I added streamers and confetti to the ba...
